CDE4Peace
CDE4Peace: Project presented on Euronews Bulgaria TV
The CDE4Peace project explores the potential of Concept Development and Experimentation (CDE) for enhancing the EU’s conflict prevention and peace-building policy. CDE is seen as a promising tool for the transformation of complex security systems – especially in NATO context – but its potential for EU policies has not been investigated yet. The project was recently presented in an interview given by Dr. Nikolay Pavlov, Marie Curie Fellow at SYNYO GmbH on Euronews Bulgaria TV.
On July 11-th, 2022 the CDE4Peace project was presented in an interview given by Dr. Nikolay Pavlov on Euronews Bulgaria TV, a branded affiliate of the leading European news channel Euronews. The interview was broadcast during prime time, offering a very good opportunity for communicating project results to tens of thousands of viewers. The interview presented the CDE4Peace project and some of the research findings to the Bulgarian audience, covering also broader issues of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP).
CDE4Peace has explored the potential of Concept Development and Experimentation (CDE) for enhancing the EU’s conflict prevention and peace-building policy. CDE is seen as a promising tool for the transformation of complex security systems – especially in NATO context – but its potential for EU policies hasn’t yet been investigated. CDE4Peace research found that Concept Development and Experimentation could serve as a tool for politically independent, unbiased and safe experimentation of novel concepts and approaches in the field of EU conflict prevention and peacebuilding. CD&E has the potential to be one of the tools to support the EU’s integrated civil-military capabilities development under the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) which forms the political framework of EU conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
