MICADO
MICADO: Launch of the MICADO Solutions marketing website
The MICADO Solutions marketing website has been launched. Aimed at promoting the general and local MICADO tools, the website provides an introduction to the main functions of the apps and highlights key features of the local solutions developed for the cities of Madrid, Bologna, Hamburg and Antwerp.
SYNYO designed a marketing website https://solutions.micadoproject.eu/ that partners of the MICADO project can use to further the uptake of the MICADO ICT solution by public administrations and/or NGOs around Europe. This marketing hub presents the three MICADO apps to the stakeholder groups – public administrations, CSOs and migrants and refugees. The website provides an overview of the functionalities of the apps, showcases best practices of the local solutions which have been implemented in Hamburg, Madrid, Bologna and Antwerp and highlights the advantages of using MICADO to ensure successful social integration of migrants in host communities.
To promote the uptake of the MICADO solution, the marketing website will include testimonials and provide video tutorials, which will guide future users through the app’s features. MICADO Solutions will also embed technical specifics published on GitHub for interested software developers who wish to develop the app further. Finally, the website provides contact details and a contact form for interested service providers, end-users or developers who wish to implement MICADO on the local level.
The website will be maintained by SYNYO for 5 years to ensure that interested clients can stay informed and get in contact with the MICADO team if they wish to implement MICADO.
Figure 1 Landing page
As shown in Figure 1, the landing page provides a short introduction to what the MICADO Solution is all about. Rotating slides show screenshots from the user interface of each version of the app, the Migrant app, the Public Administrations App and the CSO App. This allows visitors of the website to get a glimpse of the design of the app.
Additional pages are dedicated to the core functions of the Migrant app, the Public Administrations App and the CSO App. Furthermore, a blog section on Local Solutions highlights key features that have been developed for the local versions of MICADO. Each pilot city, i.e., Madrid, Bologna, Hamburg and Antwerp, have customized the content featured on the app based on local needs. By browsing through the local examples, users can get an idea of how MICADO could be customized to fit the local needs of the user.
For developers and IT aficionados, there is also a link to GitHub which offers insights into the development process and coding of the apps. Since MICADO is an open access tool, anyone can use it and develop it further.
Finally, a contact page offers visitors of the marketing site to get in touch with the MICADO team.
