Intelligent Aggregation & Visualization of Data
The rapid development and proliferation of intelligent machines will bring about profound changes in the world of work in general and in work processes in particular. The interaction of humans with such machines can bring about positive as well as negative changes in working conditions.
An example of (also) adverse effects is offered by hospital information systems (HIS), which are actually supposed to support healthcare staff in accessing, processing and interpreting the health data of their patients*. However, this human-computer interface is often experienced in practical day-to-day work as an additional burden by healthcare staff, who face time and cognitive limitations in collecting the relevant health data for their respective purposes.
To date, there is no intelligent system for aggregating and visualizing health data that takes comprehensive account of occupational group-specific requirements. SMARAGD intends to enable an intelligent aggregation and visualization of health data using the example of the information needs of occupational therapists and physiotherapists, which should serve to generate knowledge from a wealth of information, which must be the basis for further therapeutic action.
